Robert M. Preston

With an illustrious career spanning more than three decades, Mr. Preston is a seasoned attorney renowned for his adept handling of intricate domestic relations cases, appeals, and numerous trials within the Supreme and Family courts across New York.

Before joining the esteemed team at Picarello & Saciolo, PLLC, based on Long Island, Mr. Preston held the position of co-chair in the New York Family Law department at Greenspoon Marder, LLP, a prominent nationwide firm. Despite having consistently maintained offices on Long Island, he relocated his primary office and staff to Manhattan in 2002, marking a pivotal shift after dedicating his initial 12 years primarily to Nassau and Suffolk Counties.

Throughout his career, Mr. Preston has represented a diverse clientele, including celebrities, professional athletes, Fortune 500 company CEOs, elected officials, and finance sector executives from hedge funds, private equity firms, and investment banks.

As a distinguished Fellow of the New York Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML), Mr. Preston has played pivotal roles on the Executive Committee of the Family Law Section of the New York State Bar Association, serving as co-chair of the Family Court Subcommittee. Notably, he assumed the Chair position of the Legislative Subcommittee for the Matrimonial Committee of the New York City Bar Association from 2016 to 2018 and contributed as an investigator/member of the committee on Grievances for the Nassau County Bar Association.

Mr. Preston is a sought-after lecturer for Continuing Legal Education (CLE) programs in New York, hosted by prominent organizations such as the AAML, NYSBA, and the New York Law Journal. His commitment to education extends to his active involvement with the Bronx High School of Science Alumni Association.
